Cadets:

Cadets are accepted into the Cadet Scheme from their application. Once accepted, a cadet will receive a training session, be issued with
their duty equipment, partnered up and sent to the streets. Cadets will have access to basic equipment and commands during their time. The
scheme is used to give applicants a trial at police work and to review their progress as to whether or not they will continue work as an
Officer.

Duties:

-Respond to emergency calls, in any situation, from the public.
-Display knowledge of the rules and procedures of the department, an attitude to learn and the merits required for promotion to a full
officer.
-Routinely patrol the Police Jail Cells for people still cuffed, and patrol the quieter parts of the city.
-Randomly conduct foot patrols around various hot spots for a few minutes at a time.

Reports to: Most senior officer on at the time.

Promotion Criteria
To move up to Officer, Cadets will need to complete a minimum of 2 weeks. A check list is created for command staff to update. The criteria that must be met includes: BCT, Driving, Locations, SOP and Charge Knowledge, Respect and Maturity, Activity and Role Play. The cadet must be level 3 for promotion.


Officers:

Accepted to this position from the cadet scheme, Officers are the front line personnel in dealing with the public. Officers will respond to
all types of emergency and non-emergency calls, provide direction for cadets and provide a role model to the community.

Duties:

-Respond to emergency calls, in any situation, from the public.
-Providing security and peace keeping duties at events such as strikes, protests, parties, deliveries, etc.
-Investigating crimes and ensuring the correct person is arrested.
-Searching suspects who are considered suspicious for illegal or concealed items.
-Develop and maintain community relations.

Reports to: Patrol Corporals, Patrol Sergeants

Promotion Criteria
To move from Officer to Corporal:

-Must be level 4.
-Must be active, mature and knowledgeable.
-Must submit a request for promotion.


Corporals:

Corporals are promoted on the basis of activity and knowledge. Having entered the NCO arena, Corporals main functions are to ride with cadets and review officers duties. Corporals should be active and dedicated, showing skills in training, leadership and administration. Corporals may be asked to train new cadets. The role of this rank is to have minimal authority, but be the go to person for issues that arise in a counselling manner.

Duties:

-Respond to emergency calls, in any situation, from the public.
-Providing security and peace keeping duties at events such as strikes, protests, parties, deliveries, etc.
-Investigating crimes and ensuring the correct person is arrested.
-Searching suspects who are considered suspicious for illegal or concealed items.
-Develop and maintain community relations.
-Support Cadets in their training and skill.
-Give training to new recruits as requested.
-Provide leadership when no higher rank is on.

Reports to: Patrol Sergeants

Promotion Criteria
To move to Sergeant:

-Must be level 6.
-Must be active, mature and knowledgeable.
-Must have leadership and training ability.
-Must show admin and investigative skills.
-Must be Corporal.


S.W.A.T.:

Rank 4 is classified as the S.W.A.T. rank. This is given to certain classified members of the force. In times of need the members that have this rank will be able to go into the locker room and type "/swat" and be geared up with the proper equipment to perform their civic duty.

Duties:

-Respond to emergency calls, in any situation, from the public.
-Provide supervision over their subordinates. This involves giving orders, taking information and dealing with disputes.
-Provide recommendations based on investigations on complaints against officers.
-Provide views on changes, improvements and other aspects of the PD.
-To liaise with the community on a face to face basis.
-Report to the Lieutenants the progress of cadets and officers.
-Provide training to new recruits once requested by a senior commander.
-Use /swat command in the locker room in times of need

Reports to: Lieutenants and Department Captains.


Promotion Criteria
To move from Sergeant to Lieutenant:

-Must be level 8.
-Must be active, mature and knowledgeable.
-Must have leadership and training ability.
-Must show admin skills.
-Must know the SOPs, Procedures, Charges and other information clearly.
-Must be Sergeant for a minimum of 1 week.


Lieutenant:

Commissioned into the rank, Lieutenants are senior command officers. The Lieutenant will be expected to assist in accepting and denying
applicants, closing off on complaints, providing leadership to those under them, liaising with reporters and providing training. Lieutenants
will need the upmost care and discipline, and will be expected to go the extra mile in their duties. Lieutenants will also provide write ups
and reports of how police procedure and personnel are working and send these to the Chief. The Lieutenant must be on the scene of any major
emergency and provide the leadership and take control of the situation by directing Officers on how to deal with the situation. The
Lieutenant will ooze PD procedure and understand all policies and other documentation to the full extent.

Duties:

-Administrative duties: Upkeep of the forums, vent servers and inter-department chat.
-Accept, Deny and Close applications and invite applicants into the PD.
-Review and then Promote or Deny cadets to Officers.
-Provide training to new recruits, SWAT training to new officers or additional training for officers who require it.
-Respond to emergency calls, in any situation, from the public.
-Provide supervision over their subordinates. This involves giving orders, taking information and dealing with disputes.
-Be on scene in a major emergency and provide leadership to the resolution of the situation.
-Liaise with criminal and other law enforcement agencies.
-Provide information to the press.
-Head a Division as required.

Reports to: Department Captains, Chief of Police.


Promotion Criteria
To move from Lieutenant to Captain:

-Must be level 8..
-Must be active, mature and knowledgeable.
-Must have leadership and training ability.
-Must show admin skills.
-Must know the SOPs, Procedures, Charges and other information clearly.
-Must be Lieutenant for a minimum of 7 days.
-Must either be a need for the rank or an OIC position to fill.


Captain:

Captains may be in charge of a particular area of the force. This can include Vice, Districts and Administration. Captains will show the
upmost respect for the Department, and will show this through their knowledge, role play and leadership ability. Captains will be second only to the Chief, and will provide the overall command of the PD. The Captain can approve or deny applications, sign off on complaints and
demote officers. The Captain will also be in command of their particular area and must ensure up to date information, documentation and
personnel to cover that area. Captains will be the fore-runners in maintaining the forums and relations with the FBI and City Administrators
((Admins, Mayor)) and will command overall for situations. They will be impartial but will allow their subordinates to perform their duties.

Duties:

-Administrative duties: Upkeep of the forums, vent servers and inter-department chat.
-Accept, Deny and Close applications and invite applicants into the PD.
-Review and then Promote or Deny cadets to Officers and Officers to Sergeants.
-Can demote Sergeants, Corporals and Officers, and can fire Cadets and Officers only.
-Provide SWAT training to new officers, Air One Pilot training and additional training for officers who require it.
-Respond to emergency calls, in any situation, from the public.
-Provide supervision over their subordinates. This involves giving orders, taking information and dealing with disputes.
-Provide command over their section of the force. This includes procedures, personnel, complaints, cases, etc.
-Provide the backbone to the PD and provide PA support to the Chief.
-Provide interpretation of the law to Officers and the Public.
-Provide reports of the PD's over all operation to the Chief.
-Acts for the Police Chief on a relief or as assigned basis.
